"Ways to become rich and successful", and other horsecrap

Am I the only one who gets pissed off upon hearing about "ways to become successful" and "to become rich"? As far as I know, the stock market and economy in general behave as chaotic systems -that is, negligible changes in seemingly insignificant parameters can lead -and will lead- to colossal changes of the output in the long term.

When it comes to economy, that means that no matter how talented, hard-working, and intelligent you are, whether you will end up high or low in the socioeconomic hierarchy depends on external factors, and your control over them... is equal to the control of a feather over its' movement through a windstorm.

Of course, each kind of feather will have its' own movement in the windstorm -a big and heavy feather may not be taken away by it the same way as a lighter one. Similarly, an intelligent/hard-working/persistent person may not end up in the same fate as an unintelligent/lazy/impatient one. Yet a windstorm is still a windstorm, and economy is still economy, no matter what kind of "feather" you are.

Imagine feathers carried away by this windstorm sincerely believing that they control their own movement!

How will you "become rich and successful", you fucking idiot?

Will you become rich and successful if you are hard-working? There are billions of hard-working people on the planet. How many of them are "rich"? Whether in America, or China, or Greece, you will find countless workers who work tirelessly even 10 hours per day. How many of them  become rich, or even middle-classed? The slaves of the ancient Athenians who built up the Parthenon were hard-working. Did they become rich? Did history write their names?

Will you become rich and successful if you are intelligent? There are hundreds of millions of intelligent people out there. How many of them become rich, or even middle-classed? In Japan about 1/10 scores more than 130 points on IQ tests -they are literally geniuses for the western standards. Does that make them rich by default? Among all of those geniuses in Japan there are plenty of "losers" in low-wage posts. And others who do not just just a below-than-average income, but are literally live in the streets. Perhaps it is a matter of luck, isn't it?

Will you become rich and successful if you are talented? One can find countless talented singers, actors, poets, and artists in general, most of which are nearly unknown and without a penny. If you bother watching TV you will be seeing the same dozens of actors and stars everywhere. What the heck, does the world have such a lack of talent with a population of 7.000.000.000? Even if only 1/1.000 was

a talented singer, song-writer, or actor, there should be at least 7.000.000 talented would-be artists out there. How many of them ever become famous? Perhaps it is a matter of luck and knowing the right people?

Will you become rich and successful if you are patient and submissive? The capitalist mythology wants us to tolerate every arbitrariness of our bosses and supervisors, working overtime for low wages, and... building a fortune by leading an "austere life" and/or possessing a "strong will". Does every submissive and patient laborer built a fortune by tolerating everything from the bosses? Half of them? One tenth of them, at least? You can be sure that even the slaves in ancient Egypt, with their backs bleeding from the lashes, were promised a better future if the just kept their heads down and kept working. Where was that better future...?

If any of the above is true, how can we explain the existence of rich and "successful" people who lacked all these prerequisites? How intelligent are the Kardashians? How talented was Justin Bieber? How hard-working was Dan Bilzerian? The politician you voted for? Your favorite youtuber? The ones appearing on your favorite TV-shows every evening? How come and they are rich and successful without having to be hard-working, intelligent, talented, patient , and submissive?

Are you aware of how many talented and hard-working people lost everything thanks to political upheavals and sudden monetary recessions?
How ridiculously moronic is it to believe that your wealth depends on you, when you have no control over factors such as the political situation of your country, the international economy, and the global stock-market? Do you want to go through (one more) economic recession to realize that your buying power does not depend in the least on your talents and hard work? How about a war breaking in your country all of a sudden?

What are the odds that your new product or patent becomes commercially successful when there already exist firms and monopolies for virtually everything thinkable? One century ago, when cars were a fairly new innovation, you might persuade a bank to givre you a loan to found your own car firm. Which bank will do the same now, when there are already firms such as BMW, Mercedes, and Hyundai? And even if you somehow found your own car firm, what are the odds that you will successfully compete with Ferrari? You can come up with examples from all fields of production beyond cars. And you can be sure that the majority of new products that succeed belong to ???????????

Nothing depends on you, darling. You 'd better accept it. You don't have to feel it and realize it deeply -you will commit suicide or become a bomber- but you ought to keep that in mind when you vote or do  favors to your boss.

You've been lied to in your whole life -there are no "ways to become rich" and ""successful". Virtually everything in economy is a matter of luck. The odds are that even if you combine talent, intelligence, patience, and a habit to work hard, you will just end up having an above-average wage, though it is still far from certain. You will not become a billionaire or a millionaire, and most likely not even a hundredthousender, with your skills and talents. These can only make you a successful careerist**.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

**Still, a major factor determining if you will ever become a successful careerist is having several personality traits. One of them is being submissive and compliant to your superiors. Subserviently bowing down to the bosses and their craziest demands can help you build a "career", since if you dare to do otherwise you will have a tough time getting a new job after being kicked out from your current one. Did any guide on "becoming rich" or "becoming successful" mention that?

Another personality trait that can be of help if you want to become a successful careerist or businessman, is being ruthless to your subordinates. To  literally bully them to work harder, to push them beyond their limits, to force them work overtime for a lower wage, and generally treat them as robot slaves to increase your (or, more probably, your bosses') profits.

There is an ongoing evolutionary process favoring the genes of the most compliant and servile ones in the lower and middle social classes, and of those who completely lack any kind empathy in the higher ones. The forthcoming generations comprise of testosterone-deficient, obedient subhuman slaves being tyrannically ruled by a bunch of autistic psychopaths. But you 'll become rich and successful, so there is no reason to care whatsoever.'
