Dear animal-lovers (and super-vegans)

Greek version
------------------------------
It may not be the hottest topic this period, but some things have to be told. After all, there are always other issues besides politics. I started writing the text below after encountering this publication and it was initially intended to be about super-vegans only, but after the reaction of many after a random hunter killed a lion in Zimbabwe, well, i decided to finish and publish it (couldn't translate it earlier due to personal problems).

This text is dedicated to all them super-duper-ultra-hyper-animal-lovers and vegans. Those who are concerned with animal-rights more than with the human ones, those who call immoral (or even murderers) all those who consume meat and even request to ban its' consumption (yeah, they exist). Nothing personal with them, i just want to express my opinions.

The truth is that such people are currently so few that one can claim it's a waste of time to be concerned with them. On the other hand, they become more and more as i realise as time passes by, as that publication indicates, and as the reaction on the murder of that lion showed. "It's some kind of fashion!" one may think, but one would be wrong. After all, becoming a member of NSDAP could be called "some kind of fashion" back then, but we all know the results it had. I don't expect to change their opinions on the issue, but never mind. Some truths have to be told, even if nobody it willing to admit them.

Keep in mind that with the term "animal-lovers" i mean those who love animals excessively, to a degree that they care more about them than about humans, not the ones who own a dog, for instance, and love it. It's dismal to discover the existence of ideologies which try to equate the value of humans and animals. And it's even more dismal to see that there are people out there that get infuriated when animals get killed while they are absolutely indifferent when humans get mass-murdered. The text below is dedicated to that kind of "animal-lovers".

Dear animal-lovers (and super-vegans),
you are idiots. You are even more idiotic than super-feminists (i may write about them in the future) and think that the mental masturbations you call your "opinions" are the one and only and absolute truths, that the others definitely have to accept. It would be great if you just wanted to win on internet
comment-fights, but some of you try to force their friends and families to start thinking the same way, in real life.

A relative of a friend of mine, for instance, feeds its' (underweight and iron-deficient due to forced abstinence from meat) children, veggies and soups, for she believes that whoever eats meat "give money to animal-killers". The worst part is that her children will become like her. Partly the heredity of IQ, partly the iron-deficiency-induced brain-damage, i don't think they'll be really sharp-minded when they grown up.

Let's admit something, my lovely super-vegans and animal lovers. I know that it may be tough to comprehend it without reading it eight times, but i'll try to make it as clear as possible:

killing an animal is not
NOT
N O T as bad as killing a human

Killing an animal is not as bad as killing a human, an animal killing not as bad as human killing is, not animal bad killing a killing human an as is as... i don't know which formation is more persuasive but i think you get the meaning, don't you? Let me elaborate my claim.

Killing someone -committing a murder- is, since pre-historic eras, considered to be the worst of the crimes one can commit and was always punished with the longest sentences or even death, even though there are, objectively, more hideous crimes (raping a child, for instance, or disabling someone largely and permanently). There are several reasons for this.

During pre-historic eras each member of a society was highly significant. Due to the low population and the existence of multiple groups, each human belonging to one of them was needed by the others. One was concerned with clothe-making, one other with tool-making etc. If you killed one of them, that would make the life of the others apparently harder, for they would have to carry out his labour along with theirs. That's one of the reasons for which murdering is considered to be a crime: each murder leaves a gap in the society. Nowadays the population may be larger and the gap being left after a murder, smaller, but it has been one of our moral values for millennia, and that's partly why it's still being punished with the longest sentences.

In more advanced societies, humans were not only members of them, but members of families as well. So, if you killed a human you wouldn't only kill a tool-maker, but also a father, a brother, a husband etc. Due to the size of their frontal lobes, the animals belonging to the species homo sapiens-sapiens tend to have strong emotional relationships with their relatives -something that is not true for most other species, and for the ones that it is, they are not so strong and conscious. Tell me in the comment section if i'm mistaken. What is definitely true is that when you kill someone you harm one's family and friends along with the society in which one belongs. That's another reason for which killing is considered to be a punishable crime.

One other reason is the subconscious sympathy for the murderer's victim, since we or our children could be it. Maybe it's not true for all of us and all cases of murder, but it generally is, and it may have contributed to our perception of killing as the one of the worst crimes, and the laws that punish it with death or life sentences.

One more reason for which killing is something immoral and bad is the following: each human, not matter how unlikeable or idiot he/she is, has a very much evolved cognition. That means, each human has its' own thoughts, feelings, dreams, aims, story, life-experiences (which would not be perceived the same way by animals) and a fucking conscience. Each human is intelligent and creative, in a way no other species on this planet is. When you kill a human you do not only kill a living being, but a whole universe: the one each human has in its' brain.

Are we ok with the paragraphs above? Do you now understand whence the moral value about killing being something bad? Re-read them a couple of times and proceed.

What of the above is true when it comes to a fucking animal?

I'm not talking about intelligent animals, such as most dog and ape species. The paragraphs above may partly apply to them -their cognition is so evolved that one can claim they have whole personalities. But is that also true when it comes to rabbits, for instance?

You can hate me as deeply as you want, dear animal-lover. But my beliefs are not speciesism or hate towards animals· they are mere reason. The thing that most super-vegans are deprived of using and think using their emotion instead. They consider all animals to be like their cats that, just because they are cute and lovely, well, that makes their existence equally worthy as a human's. You are mistaken, my dear vegans.

What is so bad with killing an animal? Do you harm a society? There are species that have formed some kinds of society, but how significant is each part of them? After all, the degree to which those formations can be called "societies" is subjective; Wolves use to hunt all together in collaboration. Is that a "society"? Do you actually harm one by killing a wolf?

Do you harm a family? Few animals are concious of kinship, and in those how strongly is it felt compared to the feelings of a human for its' relatives? Most species do not have emotional connection caused by blood relations -besides the one of mother and children- and are incapable of having deep emotional connections with other members of their species.

What the hell is so difficult to understand when one claims that killing an animal is not, NOT, N O T , as bad as killing a human -or even half as bad when it comes to most species?

I am not an advocate of the lion-killer. One must have a cesspit in his head to consider killing an animal to be entertainment. The hunter must be punished, not so much because of what he did, but mostly because lions are relatively rare animals. It may be morally despicable to kill animals, but definitely not as much as killing humans. And demonstrating because some hunter killed an animal while being utterly indifferent when humans get killed is stupid, illogical, and a sign of misanthropy.

But besides the madness of equalizing the life of a human to the life of an animal, there is one more reason that killing several animals (chickens, pigs, etc) is not bad: their existence is worthless without humans on the planet. Yeah, you actually read that. And yeah, i'm anthropocentric.

Imagine stopping feeding chickens to kill and then eat them. What would they be doing on this planet? What would their purpose of existence be? They would roam aimlessly, shit around, and? What else? What does a chicken do that makes its' life so creative and significant? It's not even aware of going to die. Do you think that it's an animal worthy and evolved enough to deserve "rights"? If it wasn't us to provide it the food that it needs, it would have to seek for it itself, and some fox would eat it instead of us.

Because, my dear vegan-hippies that think veganism would make is live "along with nature", the phenomenon of the stronger animal eating the weaker is how nature truly works. The fox eating a chicken is the same with an a human eating it -except for the part that humans are worthier than foxes.

It's not hate towards animals. It's pure reason.

Next time you'll prefer to think with your emotion instead of your reason and demand the ban of eating flesh (as the pedo-party of Holland had asked), for you consider animals to be like your cats, behave like the product of millions of years of evolution you are and use your head. You are god-damn homo sapiens-sapiens, you definitely have something up there.

I don't have feelings against animals -i love them so very much- but i love humans even more than them. And i love their right to get fed with whatever the fuck they want, just like our lovely lions use to do.

After all, i don't think that pigs dislike rolling in the dirt and get well-fed for their lifetime before getting eaten -they don't even understand it.

Have a nice vegan day.

PS: I mention once again that the above paragraphs do not apply to animals with an evolved brain, such as dogs and some ape-species. It's indeed a crime to kill them and should be legally punished, for such animals are smart enough to even have a personality. No, not all animals have one. Reacting to stimuli does not mean that you have conscience and emotions similar to ours or the dogs'.
